Aside from the people who attend, the party foods you choose can make your event a grand success.
In preparing your party appetizers, it is a good idea to keep in mind any special diet needs of any of your attendees. Add a few good no sugar items and raw, natural fruits and veggies for the diabetic crowd. Try some gluten free foods for those who suffer with gluten allergies, as well as the natural foods and vegetables.
A couple or so dips for those veggies would be good too. Some tasty dips for vegetables includes: spinach, cucumber, dill, ranch, a variety of flavors of cream cheese or sour cream, and others. Chip dips could include: guacamole, salsa, ranch, onion, and more. Fruit dips could include caramel, flavored cream cheese, chocolate, and others.
Other notable ideas include: stuffed mushrooms, pizza, chips and salsa, cheese and crackers, nuts (almonds, cashews, mixed nuts, roasted pecans, etc), finger sandwiches, fruit salads, soups, just to name a few.
Be sure to serve any refrigerated foods on ice to keep them good and cold at all times. Otherwise, all that nasty bacteria and germs just love room temperature. Anything that contains any amount of dairy products (milk products, eggs, cheeses, sour cream, cream cheese, yogurt, butter), and all refrigerated meats and seafoods should be kept cold!
Experimenting with your own ideas for party appetizers can be fun. Many, many appetizer cookbooks can also be found.
